Interview with the current microbiology president from life sciences

Arinola Be-Inspired(BIA)โœ๐Ÿฝ: Kindly introduce yourself sir.

President Muritala Mujeeb Adewale: My name is Muritala Mujeeb Adewale, a 400 level student of department of microbiology, university of Ilorin.

Arinola Be-Inspired(BIA)โœ๐Ÿฝ: During your manifestos, you made some promises to our colleagues in the department of Microbiology. What are these promises and have they been fulfilled?

President Muritala Mujeeb Adewale: Hmm
I made some promises that includes;
Transparency and accountability
NAMS secretariat
Excursion
Leadership summit and all
We’ve been able to achieve some, we are currently working on how to secure secretariat for NAMS. However, we’ve not been able to achieve some that we slated for second semester due to Covid-19 safety guidelines.

Arinola Be-Inspired(BIA)โœ๐Ÿฝ: We had close to a year break at home due to the corona virus pandemic. How has this pandemic affected or improved your administration?

President Muritala Mujeeb Adewale: Generally, the pandemic affected everyone but it majorly cancelled out some events that my adminstration slated for second semester e.g The leadership summit and Excursion. So I would say it affected my adminstration greatly.

Arinola Be-Inspired(BIA)โœ๐Ÿฝ: What are the things you know now and wished you knew before contesting?

President Muritala Mujeeb Adewale: Never mistook slavery for loyalty. There should be a boundary in whatever one is doing and that also include loyalty.

Arinola Be-Inspired(BIA)โœ๐Ÿฝ: As a comrade how do you think life sciences can improve on her political differences that has divided the faculty and what method do you think is best to solve the issue?

President Muritala Mujeeb Adewale: The best way to solve life sciences issue is for all past students should stop meddling in affairs that doesn’t concern them. We do preach unity all the time but some elements main work is to instigate different departments at each other and creating a life long hatred among these students.

Arinola Be-Inspired(BIA)โœ๐Ÿฝ: What advice would you give to the next Microbiology president?

President Muritala Mujeeb Adewale: My advice is simple;
He/she should look at where my adminstration failed to deliver and work harder in order not to repeat the same mistake. Also, he/she should look at the areas where my administration did well and also work harder on how to do better.

Arinola Be-Inspired(BIA)โœ๐Ÿฝ: Any word of wisdom or encouragement to the whole of life sciences at large?

President Muritala Mujeeb Adewale: Never allow people take away your free will. Life is much more than the ghetto politics we play here

Arinola Be-Inspired(BIA)โœ๐Ÿฝ: *Your best inspirational quote.

President Muritala Mujeeb Adewale: If you can dream it, you can achieve it.
